PHILOSOPHY

S.M.A. school believes that its role is to:

• Offer pupils and students the best possible Nigerian and British Education infusing international content wherever possible in order to reflect our diverse pupils and students’ nationalities and to give the programme international relevance.
• Offer pupils and students the opportunity to learn and grow intellectually, culturally, physically, socially, creatively and morally.
• Work as a team with staff, parent, pupils, students, administrators and Board of Directors in maintaining open communication and in carrying out S.M.A philosophy.
• Apply evaluation strategies to assess and monitor learning needs and progress.
• Enable pupils and students maximize their optimum potential for learning.
• Offer pupils and students the opportunity to communicate in foreign languages.
• Provide a safe environment which nurtures social and emotional well being.
• Promote the uniqueness, dignity and worth of each pupil and student.
• Develop a sense of community relations among pupils, students, teachers and parents which will facilitate the development of self-discipline, responsibilities and respect for values in the large society.
• Utilize the local environment and cultures as resources for learning whenever and wherever possible.
